Stanford University is one of the world’s prestigious and leading University in teaching and research sector which is located in the heart of Silicon Valley of California. In the memory of only child who died of typhoid fever, Leland Stanford and his wife founded this University in 1885. Since then, tuition fee was free till 1920. There are graduate, undergraduate and four professional schools under three academic schools. The enrollment of graduate and students of professional school is more than 8,000 in 7 schools and 65 departments. There are about one third of students enrolled from other countries than US that includes all races, ethnic group and ages.
 It proposes an outstanding range of academic and subsidiary activities 
to its students. Since this is a research and teaching university, offers
 its students to work diligently with researchers and faculty members.

There are total 15,596, out of them 58% are male and 42% are female and 22% of students are international students.
